OMD China Launches Business Intelligence Specialist Unit

Shanghai, China, 20 March, 2012 ¨C OMD China today announced the launch of Business Intelligence specialist unit in China. The specialist unit is devoted to elevating OMD¡¯s planning offering by synthetizing research, analytics and media planning to deliver more accountable investment decision-making, leading to improved business solutions for clients. Bhasker Jaiswal has been appointed Managing Partner to lead the new division.
Business Intelligence will drive OMD thought leadership ¨C via building research frameworks, initiating analytics, creating innovative tools to be applied in smarter, more relevant way onto media strategies. The ultimate aim is to lift media strategy to a more quantifiable and accountable level and thereby helping clients drive business/ communications solutions. A core component of the unit is to develop frameworks and innovative tools to enable clients to make better choices resulting in high return on their media investments, including application of advanced analytics and modeling.


Bhasker Jaiswal joined OMD China in 2009 with over 13 years extensive experience working across APAC (India, Malaysia and China). During his tenure at OMD, as Executive Director, he has played an important role as the strategic lead on media planning, including work on new frameworks for clients. For the past 5-years, Jaiswal has worked with the biggest FMCG brands in China (P&G, J&J, McDonald¡¯s, Pepsi, Amway) across a variety of product categories. Jaiswal will also be tapping into experience and resources of the Business Intelligence community within OMD global network.
